Heart Trouble

“Your heart must not be troubled.  Believe in God; believe also in Me.” John 14:1.
Being troubled doesn’t change the circumstances. It usually doesn’t even change the outcome.  The only thing trouble can change is your present condition. Your thought processes can swiftly change from tranquility to anxiety. It can change in a moment’s thought. Jesus wants you to believe the heavenly Father knows what’s best for you. It was God who gave His best for you. He gave you Jesus. Jesus gave His best for you. He gave Himself. Why be troubled anymore? You have been given the best by the Father and Son, who know you best.  (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)

No Questions Asked

“In that day you will not ask Me anything.” John 16:23.
Father, there are days when I question life itself.  You know where my life was headed before I even began the journey.  You know where the journey will come to an end.  Help me not to give up and make it to the very end.  That’s where I will see You face to face and have no questions.  Amen.

No one is greater than their prayer life. If your prayers are serious to God, then they should be more significant to you. One of the greatest tragedies of life is when prayers go unanswered because they go unasked. Remember: The size of your prayers depend upon the size of your God.

A Wilderness Experience

“Meanwhile Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law..” Exodus 3:1. You can experience God once again like Moses. It may be on the backside of a desert where your wilderness wandering has taken you. It may be where God took you rather than you just ending up there. God will meet you, no matter how you arrived. He’ll also take you where you need to go, even though you feel you’re going nowhere. (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)

Getting To The Other Side

“Let’s go across to the other side.” Mark 4:35. When God launches you into the deep, He has a specific plan in mind. He knows the best way to go, even though it may take you through the roughest storms and toughest times in your life. He won’t protect you from every storm, but He will protect you through every storm. (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)

Taking Shape

“Just like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are You in my hand.” Jeremiah 18:6. Father, it is sometimes really painful when I’m being shaped into a vessel that can be fully used by You. You know what circumstances best shape me. I want to be fully used by You and I know that’s when I will be fully shaped. Amen. (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)

Overwhelmed

“When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Thou didst know my path.” Psalm 142:3.    God knows every circumstance that surrounds you. He will rescue you because He knows the best way out and when is the best time. Listen for God’s voice. Feel His presence.  Trust Him for deliverance. You will not go down because He will never let you down, even if you feel overwhelmed and see no help in sight.  (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)

Beyond

“Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond..according to the power that works within you.” Ephesians 3:20.    Power is only power when it is released. Release this power that works within you to bring about even more than you could ever ask or think. It’s not something that is automatic. You must believe God is able and believe it can be done in your life, blessings beyond your imagination that He has for you. (excerpt from Encouraging Words devotion book at Bookstore Tab)
