No Friend Like Jesus

“…there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.”  Proverbs 18:24.   When Jesus was willing to bear the sins of mankind on that rugged cross, He didn’t want to bear the thought of being apart from His Father.  Hours later He experienced that when He cried out, “My God, My God, why have Your forsaken Me?”  God will never remove His presence from you. Who else would be willing to experience that for you except a “Friend?” That’s what you have in Jesus. He’s your Savior. He’s also your Friend. (excerpt from Encouraging Words at Bookstore Tab)
