“They will stare at the one they pierced.” John 19:37. To better understand how to respond to suffering, look at Jesus’ response while on the cross. He wasn’t full of anger at those inflicting pain. Neither was He full of questions to the One allowing the pain. He looked to see what He could provide. He gave something at a time when others didn’t think He had anything else to offer. Jesus looked at those around Him with compassion and asked they be forgiven. Now look around and see what you can do for others while you’re suffering.
